Dear Casa Parents
Alhamdulillah, as September begins, it is time for school !! We hope you all had a wonderful summer, and now are all excited like us for your child’s school year to begin.
We are thrilled to have your child in our class this year. This is an exciting time for your child although he/she might be apprehensive to leave home independently for the first time to be at school all day in sha Allah. We do realize the mixed emotions of parents too, as it will be your first time to part away for a long duration of time from your child. The first day of school will mark one of the most important milestones in your child’s life in sha Allah.
For the first two weeks, please drop off your child outside the Casa 1 classroom door. It is best to say good-bye to your child with a hug outside the door and leave soon in order to make the transition easy for yourself and the child. The longer the parent stays, the harder it becomes for the child and also for the parents. Short and sweet good-byes are the best. Pick up at dismissal time for the first two weeks will also be from the Casa 1 classroom.
A friendly reminder, kindly send the following in your child’s backpack – classroom indoor running shoes with Velcro (No LACES PLEASE), an extra pair of clothing including undergarments and an extra pair of socks. All items should be labeled to avoid being misplaced. Please note that parents are NOT required to send in blankets for nap time.
Be assured that we will do our best with the help of Allah (SWT) to make this school year an enjoyable time for your child, filled with beneficial learning. Your child is an amaanah from Allah (SWT) to us and we will do our best to nurture him/her with the best knowledge in the light of the Quran and Sunnah. We truly consider it an honour and privilege to be working with you and your child this year.
